Spaghetti Squash Dutch Oven Style

  • 1 - 1 Spaghetti Squash, halved lengthwise and seeded
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Bacon or roughly 2 slices or if you like bacon you can do more. Make into Bits
  • We had left over Smoked Pork = chopped
  • 4 oz. Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 to 2 - Tomatos = quarter slices 1" thick or 1 1/2 cups chopped tomatoes
1. Cook bacon in the bottom of you 12" regular Dutch Oven until desired crispness is reached. Chop Bacon and set on paper plate.
2. Place Spaghetti Squash onto your 12" Regular Dutch Oven. Make sure you have a little of the bacon grease on the bottom. Place spaghetti squash with cut sides down and cook for about 20 minutes if you want a brown top. If not just put it in
3. Use a paring knife to prick squash all over the inside
4. 1/4 stick butter on each side if you like
5. Add Meat, Onion, Tomato then the Cheese
6. A Little Salt and Pepper is nice
7. Add Mozzarella Cheese on top of that
8. Bake at 350F about 1 hour or until soft = 15 on top 10 on bottom
9. Remove from dutch oven and cut into desired sizes.
