1 Can Pie Filling Fruit
1 Cake Mix
1 Can Pop
Directions:
This is without a doubt the easiest dessert to fix when camping or entertaining. Warm and oil you 10″ or 12″ Dutch Oven. Place a can of fruit in the bottom and a cake mix over the top. Drizzle a can of pop over the top and bake. If there is a lot of juice, like peaches, drain part of the juice and save for later to drink. Hear are some combinations to work with:
Cherries–Chocolate Cake Mix and Coke
Cherries–Cherry Cake Mix and Coke
Apples–Spice Cake Mix and Root beer
Cranberries–Butter Cake Mix and Cream Soda
Fruit Cocktail–White Cake Mix and 7-Up
Blueberries–White Cake Mix and Cream Soda
1 can Apple and 1 can Raspberry—-White Cake Mix and 7-Up
Let your conscience be your guide, there are a lot of combinations that are great. In the Scout cobbler contests. I’ve had everything from Jerky to gummy bears in their cobblers.
