Lemon Pepper Halibut Dutch Oven Recipe
This healthy lemon pepper halibut recipe uses a Dutch Oven to steam the fish in its own juices, keeping it moist, tender, and light. The method below combines lemon pepper, and garlic with healthy fats to create a flavorful, low-calorie, and high-protein meal.
1 Pound Halibut Fillets
1 1/2 Tablespoons Butter
2 teaspoons Seasoned Salt
1 Tablespoon Lemon Pepper
1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
This is an excellent way to enjoy fresh halibut; it allow the delicious flavor to remain unmasked.
Directions:
In your cast iron Dutch Oven heat to Medium heat and put a little butter in the bottom. You can add a little corn oil so it will not burn. Be careful not to burn the butter….if you do you have it too hot!! Place halibut fillets in a cast iron Dutch Oven, dot with butter, sprinkle seasoned salt, lemon pepper, and garlic salt over the top. Cook on Medium Heat for about 3 to 4 minutes per inch of thickness or until fish flakes easily.
