Mushroom & Swiss Burger Foil Dinner
Juicy beef patties smothered in Swiss cheese and garlicky mushrooms, paired with buttery baby potatoes—all cooked in foil for an easy, hearty meal!
Grilled Mushroom & Swiss Burger Foil Packs with Garlic Herb Potatoes
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
Salt and Pepper, to taste
4 slices Swiss Cheese
1 1/2 cups sliced Mushrooms
1/2 small Red Onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 lb baby Potatoes, halved or quartered to cook faster
1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
1 tablespoon Butter (optional, for extra richness)
Non-stick cooking spray or foil-friendly oil
Directions:
Preheat grill to medium-high heat or oven to 400°F or just place on top of coals or over the fire
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties. You can break the patties up to cook faster
In another bowl, toss potatoes with olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Cut 4 large squares of foil. Spray each with non-stick spray. Shinny side in
Place a portion of potatoes in the center of each foil square. Add a beef patty on top, followed by sliced mushrooms and red onion.
Fold foil into packets, sealing tightly.
Grill or bake for 25–30 minutes, until potatoes are tender and burgers are fully cooked (internal temp of 160°F). Half way through cooking turn over packets to cook on other side. When done
Carefully open foil packets, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each burger, and close loosely for 2 minutes until cheese is melted.
Optionally, top potatoes with a small pat of butter before serving for added richness.
