Pineapple & Fruit Cocktail Dutch Oven Dessert Recipe
The specific combination of pineapple, fruit cocktail, and a Dutch oven is a classic “cowboy” or camp-style cake
1 – 20 oz. Can of Crushed Pineapple (do not drain)
1 – 15 oz. Can of Fruit Cocktail (drain)
1 – 15.25 oz. Can of Pears (drain)
1 Yellow Cake Mix
1/2 cup Nuts
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
2/3 Can Sprite, or 7-up or Mountain Dew
Directions:
Warm and oil your 12″ Dutch Oven. Place a can of Crushed Pineapple, Fruit cocktail, and Pears in the bottom of your dutch oven. Sprinkle Brown Sugar over the top. Add the cake mix, then the nuts, and the pop. Cook until you smell it and you see steam coming out from under your dutch oven lid……then serve with Cool Whip!!!! Yum!! Yum!!!!
