Pineapple Ham Dutch Oven Recipe

Making a pineapple ham in a Dutch oven is an excellent way to keep the meat incredibly moist, as the heavy lid traps steam and flavor.

Ingredients:

1 precooked Ham 1 Can Sliced Pineapple
1 Onion – diced
1 /2 Cup Brown Sugar
Red Cherries Maple Syrup – optional

Directions: Depending on how big your Ham is use your 12″ Deep or 14″ Deep Dutch Oven. Pre-heat and oil. Put your diced onions on the bottom of your dutch oven. Place your ham inside your dutch oven and cut slices down to almost the bottom. Just leave enough so you can fan your ham out. Take the Sliced or diced pineapple and put between the slices. Put your brown sugar on top of that with your red cherries. If you want put some Maple Syrup over all of it. Now put the lid on and go to baking. In your Volcano Stove us 12 briquettes on the bottom. If you are cooking on a table use 15 on top and 10 on the bottom. You will see steam coming out from under the lid plus you will smell it too!! When you see the grain in the meat of your ham it is done!!!
