Scout Chili Maximus & Such Dutch Oven Recipe

This hearty Dutch oven Chili recipe is a classic for Scout trips, designed to be simple and filling for a group

1 1/2 lbs. Hamburger
2 Large Green Peppers
2 Medium Onions, chopped
1 1/2 tbsp. Garlic Powder
2 Cups Tomato Sauce
4 tsps. Chili Powder
1/8 tsp. Red Pepper
5 cups beans-soaked over night

Directions:
Take you 12″ Dutch Oven preheat. Brown meat, add onions, green peppers and garlic. Add tomato sauce, basil, pepper and chili powder. Now add the beans. Simmer until beans are tender about 35 to 45 minutes. If you wait for the steam coming from under the lid you will know it is done. Can be served over rice, toasted buns, crackers or rolls.
