Texas Road House Chicken Dutch Oven Style
This dish is incredibly easy to make and takes only about 22 minutes from start to finish. With tender chicken, a rich creamy sauce, and a hint of sweetness from honey, it’s a feast for the senses that your family will love!
To cook up this delicious meal, you’ll need the following:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for added flavor)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and generously season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and optional paprika to bring out the flavor.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in your 12” Dutch Oven until nice and hot. Carefully place the chicken breasts in the hot oil and cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side until they turn golden brown.
- Flip the Chicken: Turn the chicken over and cook for another 5-6 minutes, ensuring that the meat is fully cooked (with an internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C).
- Make the Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with honey, creating a creamy, sweet mixture.
- Combine Chicken and Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and pour the butter-honey mixture over the chicken in the skillet. Spoon the melted sauce generously over the chicken for 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot. Enjoy!
