How to Make Texas Roadhouse Fried Pickles:
- Step 1 – Mix dipping ingredients – Mix together the dipping sauce ingredients and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Step 2 – Combine dry ingredients for pickles – Mix together the flour, cajun seasoning, oregano, basil and cayenne pepper. Coat the sliced pickles in the flour mixture.
- Step 3 – Heat oil in pan – Add oil to a small saucepan. You’ll need about 2 tablespoons of oil. Heat on medium heat until it has reached a temperature of 375 degrees F.
- Step 4 – Fry the pickles – Place the coated pickles in the oil and fry on each side. Fry until the pickles are golden brown (approximately 2-3 minutes per side).
- Step 5 – Place pickles on plate – Then transfer the fried pickles to a plate lined with a paper towel. Allow them to cool (they will be hot). Top them with kosher salt to keep them crisp at this time.
- Step 6 – Serve and Enjoy – Serve pickle chips with the dipping sauce and enjoy!
- Creamy Sauce – We make a creamy dipping sauce out of mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, and Cajun seasoning.
- Creamy Ranch – Make a simple ranch sauce or ranch dressing works great too.
